Chapter 1

              The meeting

It was Hannah Lucas's first day of school. At school she met Eleanor Lessard, Louisa Lindkoog, and Zoe Lopas. She told them to meet her at the park. When Eleanor, Louisa, and Zoe arrived at the park, Hannah was not there. But when Eleanor looked around. She found a letter addressed to them. Eleanor read it out loud.

I am a fairy. I have wings. Please do not tell any one. Yes, it is me, Hannah Lucas. You can write me a letter and I will come and get it. Is it ok if we form a group? I mean now you know my secret.

Louisa wrote a letter for Hannah. Louisa had very neat writing. Wait, Louisa was not writing. She was using a wand! She was a witch! Eleanor pulled her hair into a ponytail. Why were her ears so pointy? She was an elf. Zoe was very short. Wait, she was a leprechaun!

Hi Hannah,

we will not tell any one. Yes we can make a group. My secret is that I'm a witch. Eleanor's secret is that she's an elf. Zoe's  secret is that she's a leprechaun. See? We all are magical. Meet me at my house.

Hannah ran as fast as she could. But she arrived at the lake. Louisa's house was on the other side. She quickly turned invisible and her wings popped out. When Hannah got to Louisa's house Eleanor, Louisa and Zoe were all dressed in riding gear. Hannah ran to the bathroom and changed into her riding gear. "Are you guys ready for the riding club?" asked Louisa "Yes!" said Hannah, Eleanor, and Zoe. Eleanor whispered to Hannah, do you think we'll get horses? "Of course!" She replied.

 It was Hannah's second day of school. At school she met Eleanor, Louisa, and Zoe. Eleanor told the secret of the group to Hannah. Eleanor's dad, and Louisa and Zoe's dads were magical! Hannah said "my mom is magical too!" Eleanor was part elf, Louisa was part witch, Zoe was part leprechaun, and Hannah is part fairy.  Eleanor, a tall girl with long brownish  hair, blue eyes, and oval glasses, was easily mistaken for a twelve year old when she was only ten years old. Zoe, on the other hand was a little smaller than the others but you could still tell that she was ten. Zoe had really curly dirty brown hair and brown eyes. Hannah, was in between Zoe and Eleanor, she was shorter than Eleanor but taller than Zoe. Hannah had brown eyes and hair. Louisa had hair longer than all of of them(Zoe's was the  shortest).

She joined the group of friends.How about we call ourselves the herd. Hannah didn't know how to control her magic. "We'd better figure our magic out fast, we start at the riding academy in two days!" At that moment Hannah's wings popped out of her dress. "Oh-no!" said Hannah as she drifted into the air. Eleanor grabbed one of Hannah's feet and Louisa grabbed the other and they pulled Hannah back down. "Wow" said Hannah " that would be dangerous outside" "yes" said Eleanor "for the next while, until you yet control , you can not go anywhere where you don't have a roof over you." "Good idea Eleanor" said Hannah "but I have to go outside" "Ok it looks like we are going need a new idea" said Louisa "Wait I have an idea". 

 said Louisa "How about I use magic to make Hannah only be able to go one meter in the air."

                         Chapter 2

                    The Riding acadamy

Two days later Hannah's mom drove them to the riding academy. When they got out of the car, Eleanor's sharp elf eyes spotted a man dressed in black hiding behind a stable, but she told no one. They went into the registration office and gave their names. The man at the desk said, "I know the perfect horses for you guys, and you'll get to name them." "Oh Zoe, we'll get you a pony." "Great!" She said. Then they went to the stables.

Then they were introduced to their horses. Eleanor said "Wow, I'm gonna name my horse Mystery" "Mine is Boomerang!" said Zoe. "I think I'll name mine Spirit!" said Hannah. "I think I'll choose Rosie!" said Louisa.

Then they got ready to ride.

As soon as they were in the field Zoe heard hooves much bigger than her or her friends horses. As she looked behind her she saw a man all in black, then he took her off her horse and vanished. Eleanor looked round just in time to see him vanish with Zoe. Then she realised that he was the man she saw earlier. 

"We gotta do something!" Yelled a panicked Louisa. "Ok," said Eleanor "Let's go back to the registration office and call Mrs. Lopas and then the police." Then the herd got going- but Hannah and Spirit whipped around. "That was magic" she told her friends, " Louisa, can you go and make the phone calls? Eleanor and I will try to find him." "Okay, but I'll probably need to take the spell off your wings"said Louisa. "Ok" said Hannah.

Louisa teleported to the horse riding stables and Eleanor was just about to start looking when a sack was pulled over her and Hannah's heads and they were whisked away.

When the sacks were lifted, they found themselves in a dungeon that seemed to have been built in the middle ages, and when Hannah turned her head she saw Zoe beside them. 

"Did Lorenzo take anything?" asked Zoe, "He took my gem that connects with Louisa's."  Hannah felt her pocket, "Yup, he got my swords , so I can't get us free." Eleanor touched her back, "Guy's, I think we can escape! And from behind her back she took a bow and arrow.
