Once upon a time, there were two friends Jenny and Nora. They had been best friends from the time they were babies. Their parents had grown up in a picturesque village called Woodland.
The village had got its name because of several woodlands which surrounded the village. Both their Mums had studied in the same school and had also been childhood friends.

Their grandparents had bought houses next to each other many years ago. Jenny and Nora were both the only child to their parents, so they were very close to each other and were almost like sisters.
One day the girls were playing a game of ball in Nora's garden. Jenny threw the ball to Nora, somehow she missed it and the ball rolled under a bush. The girls peeped under the bush. When Jenny bent down to get the ball she thought she felt something metal.

"Nora" she called to her friend, "I think there is something under here. Can you please find a spade?" Nora ran to her garden shed and came back with a spade. With a little bit of digging, they uncovered a metal key.
"I wonder whose key it is " said Nora taking the key from her friend.
"Maybe if we clean it up we can see if there is anything engraved on it" suggested Jenny.

Nora went back to the garden shed and returned with an old piece of cloth. Then she carefully rubbed the key clean.
They both looked carefully,
however there was nothing
engraved on it. "Very
puzzling, may be we
should ask your Mum"
said Jenny rubbing it her
thumb and index finger
of her right hand.

Suddenly the most amazing thing happened. There was a puff of pink smoke and a tiny fairy dressed in pretty pink appeared. "Hello, I am Fairy Rosy." The girls were so surprised that they were dumbfounded. After a few moments, Jenny found her voice.
"I am Jenny and this is my best friend Nora. We were playing ball with each other when we discovered this key."

Fairy Rose smiled and nodded.
"This is one of the many keys to
Wonderland. Only very good
children can see this key.
It is normally hidden to human
eye " she explained.
With a twinkle in her eye,
she asked them
"Would you like a
tour of Wonderland?"

Both girls nodded excitedly. The Fairy beckoned them under the bush and drew a large X under the bush with the key. Then she muttered some magic words and to the amazement of the girls, out of nowhere a trapdoor appeared. Fairy Rose tapped the door three times with the key and it opened revealing a flight of stairs. The Fairy motioned the girls to climb down the stairs.

The girls gingerly climbed down the stairs and found themselves in a most magnificent underground world. There were fairies flying around in all the colours of the rainbow. There were beautiful trees, shrubs, bushes, flowers and birds. In the background a sweet melody playing. There were several paths leading to various places.
