Chapter 1

Kaboom! The thunder crackled as it began to rain. Two girls were hurrying home because they were scared that they would get caught in the storm as the rain grew louder and because it's Halloween so everybody and I mean everybody is scaring and pranking one another. As they were on their way back from school they were talking about Halloween. “I hope we don’t get stuck in that other person's backyard again,” Isabella said with a shiver. “Just thinking about it scares me,” Abigail said. Isabella and Abigail are 2 best friends, they are in 8th grade and love to try new things. Isabella is very shy and she loves school, she has blue eyes and long blond hair 

with purple tips. Abigail is very adventurous and she doesn't do that good in school, she gets in trouble, a lot but Isabella always helps her out. She has brown hair and green eyes. “Uh, why is our path closed?” Abigail asked, looking confused. “ Don’t you remember, they're fixing the road so I guess that we have to take a long way,” Isabella said?’’In this weather?” Abigail complained, “It's the only way, let’s just make it quick,” Isabella said. But as they entered the path and started to walk they got lost. “Ok, so I think we were supposed to take a left then a right, not a right then a left.” Isabella said looking around. “Just admit it, we're lost,” Abigail said looking at Isabella. “You're right,” Isabella admitted, sitting down onto a rock.

 But then there was russell and a sneeze in the bush, “Wh-whos there?” Abigail asked as Isabella jumped from the up rock just as 3 boys stumbled out of the bush. It was no other than Jacob, Jack, and their leader Toby. So they were the biggest and baddest bullies at their school and they were always bullying Abigail and Isabella.”If only you haven't sneezed, Then we could have...”Toby started but stopped just as he saw us. “What do you want?” Isabella said annoyed, she always just ignores them. “Oh, well… we dare you to go into the haunted house over there,” Toby said with a big smirk on his face. “No thank you,” Isabella replied looking away to the haunted house. “Oh, but we weren't asking you, we demand you to,” Toby said.”Well you did dare them and 

a dare means that they have a choice” Jacod said but instantly fell silent as Toby glared at him with annoyance. Then Toby signalled his friends to grab us, and they did. “What are you doing?” Abigail said, struggling to get loose. “We're taking you to the haunted house because you keep getting us in our way, so we want you out of the way,” Toby said still with a smirk. Abigail and Isabella struggled but the boys had a tight grip on them. They got to the haunted house and they were thrown in and then they heard the door click shut.

Chapter 2

 “Let us out!” Abigail shouted, “No, now you're stuck in there. Bye-Bye” Toby said and they were off. “What should we do?” Abigail said banging against the door, “Maybe we can try opening the door with this key”. So they tried opening the door but the key wouldn't fit.” What now” Abigail said staring down the hall.” We could try opening this door,” Isabella said, tugging at a different door. So they tried a different door and it opened. “Oh, there's a chest in here, with a note,” Isabella said opening the chest and reading the note. It said “You have entered the haunted house and want to get out? Well, there is only one way out, complete the 

puzzles in each room to get the next key. In the final room, you shall find the master key to open the last door. Good luck” Isabella said reading the note out loud. “So, we have to open the other door and do the puzzle, sounds easy,” Abigail said walking out of the room into the spooky hall.  “Hold on, we need some light,” Isabella said so she grabbed torches and lit them and gave one to Abigail. Together they unlocked the next door and when they went inside, the door closed behind them making them jump. “Uh? Guess we go this way down the hall” Isabella said nervously. So they walked down the hall until they came into an open space with a few buttons with the colours, red, green, purple, orange, blue, pink, and yellow on the wall.

 “This is… strange” Abigail said when they entered the room, but then a door closed behind them and a voice came.‘If you wish to get the next key press the right buttons to escape’ then the room starts filling up with water. “What...That doesn't make sense!” Abigail screamed, “Wait… but it does,” Isabella said swimming over to the buttons. “How does it make sense?” Abigail screamed over the rushing water. “Look, there are all different colours, colours of the rainbow so we might have to do red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink” Isabella explained. “Ok, so do it!” Abigail screamed so Isabella pressed the buttons, beep,beep,beep… And after several seconds the water began to sink and a chest appeared on the table. 

“You did it,” Abigail said, launching herself onto Isabella, “What would we do without you?” Abigail said. “Um… Probably drown” Isabella jokes. As they stood up they went over to the chest and opened it, inside the chest, they found another key. “Ok, let's get out of this room,” Abigail said so they walked out into the hallway and opened the next door.

Chapter 3

Inside there was a sheet of paper and a small jungle below. As they entered the room the door closed again and the voice returned. “You enter the jungle below and seek out 5 objects,” the voice said. “So, something I'm good at, a scavenger hunt,” Abigail said gleefully. She grabbed the chart and then she ziplined down. “Come on Isabella these things won't find themselves” Abigail called to Isabella but she was hesitating. “I'll be there in a sec… I’m just afraid of heights and ziplining,” Isabella said looking down and to the zipline. Then suddenly there was a hissing sound and Isabella looked back and screamed “SNAKE!” and jumped onto 

the zipline and slid down. When she slid down she fell onto the ground and looked back up. “Ok, now that you're here let's st...” she began but was interrupted, “Or we can just look up at the tree,” Isabella said pointing up to a tall tree with 4 golden objects in it. "Uh, so how do we get them down?" Abigail said, looking around for something. "Well you could climb the tree," Isabella said, "are you sure that I can," Abigail said, then Isabella pointed to the tree, and on the bark was a sign that read "Climb this tree to retrieve the objects". So Abigail claimed the tree and threw down the golden objects for Isabella to catch. When Abigail came down she had all 4 of them but Isabella looked confused. "What is it?" Abigail asked.

"Well... There are supposed to be 5 objects but there are only 4 here," Isabella said. "Hold on..." Abigail said, taking the golden objects and taking them to the tree and putting them into holes and after about a minute a 5th one appeared in the last hole. Then a chest appears"Yay! we did it" Abigail said jumping up and down. They opened the chest and took the key. Then they went back out into the hall.

Chapter 4

When they entered the room there was a staircase and a keypad. “What are we supposed to do here, climb the staircase?” Abigail said, confused. Isabella walked to the keypad and dialled in some numbers, beep, bop, beep and it turned green.” How did you do that?” Abigail asked as she ran over to her. “I just read the number on the piece of paper that was in the other room,” Isabella said. Then suddenly the world turned upside down, like literally upside down. The girls fell flat on the staircase and began to slide down. “Ahh! What's happening!” Abigail screamed as she and Isabella slid down. “I think we're going to hit the floor!” Isabella screamed. 

 But then before they did the world turned back the way it was. “H-w-what happened” Abigail panted trying to catch her breath just as Isabella came down and fell on top of her.” Wow, hey there's the chest and another door,” Isabella said jumping up from Abigail and running over. When she opened it she pulled out another key.” Yay! We did it” Isabella said, jumping up and down. Abigail wobbled out of the room and sat down while Isabella opened the next door.

Chapter 5

Just as they stepped inside the door closed with a click. Then the wind picked up and they heard weird sounds like the wind trying to talk to them. Just then they thought they could see a fox flickering in and out of their view. “What was that?” Isabella said backing up onto the corner as the sounds grew louder and louder. Then they saw a fox flying out of the room.” Was that… a flying fox?” Abigail said looking confused then they scurried down the hall as fast as they could into another room. Inside they found some food. “I'm so hungry I could eat all this,” Abigail said, reaching out to grab the food, but instead the food grabbed her.”

 Ahh” Abigail screamed just as Isabella turned around from looking at the wall. Realizing what's happening Isabelle quickly grabbed Abigail and pulled her and the food let go.” It-It tried to eat me” Abigail said frightened backing up into the wall that immediately sucked her in. “ABIGAIL!” Isabella screamed diving into the wall as well. When Isabella reached the bottom from a long fall, she was in a forest with lots of trees. “Isabella? Is that you?” Abigail said coming out from under a bush.” You're alive,” Isabella said, throwing her arms around Isabella. Just then a chest appeared with a note that said ‘Trust in each other and things aren't always what they seem’. “Let's get out of here, This place gives me the creeps,” Isabella said, opening the chest 

and pulling out another key. They went out the door into the hall and opened the next door, The 2nd last door.
