E-mail, or electronic mail, is a way to communicate over the internet. E-mail is how businesses also communicate, so knowing how to use it is a 21st Century job skill.

Many of the skills we are using in distance learning are also being used by people in the workforce. We may find that this changes how some companies have their employees work.

Google is a search engine that has many other features including Chrome, Google Drive, and Gmail.

Hybrid learning is a combination of in-person and remote learning. Some students are at home and some are in class at the same time.

The Internet is a global computer network that connects computers to a series of servers through cables. Computers include desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, phones, watches, and  anything that can log in to the internet.

Jamboard is a collaborative digital whiteboard that is available through Google.

is for Kami

Kami is a PDF editor. This allows students to write on copies of documents that are sent by teachers.

is for Learning Management System

A Learning Management System (LMS) is a way to assign, collect, and grade student work. Examples of this are Google Classroom and Canvas.

is for Multiple Monitors

Multiple monitors allow you to see more screens at once. It is very helpful when hosting an online meeting and reviewing documents or other apps.

Netiquette is the manners that you use online. This includes how you address people and social media. To quote Phinneas and Ferb- "Fame is fleeting, but the internet is forever."

Office hours are times set aside for students to meet individually or in small groups with the teacher. Students can discuss the assignments and get help. Please come to my office hours.

A web portal is a specially designed website that brings information from many sources together. One portal we use is Clever.
