I dedicate this book to my pen-pal Marley.

    Once upon a time, there was a very curious elephant named Patty Peanut, who enjoys trying new things.

    During a warm spring day, as Patty Peanut was waking up, she looked out the window and got inspired by her friend Ruby Red Bird.

     Patty Peanut said, “Good morning Ruby Red Bird, how is it like to sleep outside? Is it like camping?⛺️ ”Ruby Red Bird replied. “I’m not sure, I’ve never been camping⛺️ before. ”Patty Peanut said, “Nether have I, but I sure would like to try it someday.”

    Thanks to her friend Ruby Red Bird, Patty Peanut decided to go camping⛺️. She wanted to see what it would be like. 

    Patty Peanut said to herself, “Where would be the best place to go camping? My backyard? A lake? A river? The mountains?⛰ What about the beach? Where will I go?"

    As Patty Peanut was thinking of where to go, she noticed the beautiful blooming flowers 🌸 and the green grass growing. She decided to go camping in the mountains⛰ by a lake. She knew there would be beautiful blooming flowers 🌸  .

     Patty Peanut started packing for her exciting camping⛺️ trip. She grabbed her bag and started to think about what she will need. Then she said to herself. “I will need a bed sheet for shelter, pots and pans for cooking, a sleeping bag to keep me warm, a fishing pole🎣 to catch my food, some warm clothes, and water to drink."

Oooh, and I can’t forget my yummy s’mores     and milk🥛!” Patty Peanut was so excited to go on this adventure, she was smiling the whole time she was packing.

    Off she went on to her exciting adventure! With all her things packed in her travel van, she drove, and drove, and drove!
