In a rural community in South Georgia, Andy and Ann lived on their family farm with their parents.

Andy and Ann looked forward to harvest time each year as they helped gather the cotton crop from the fields.
Every Christmas season they made it a tradition to gather a few pieces of the cotton crop and make Christmas ornaments to give to their community.

But this year would be different.
This harvest season the cotton crop did not grow well as planned and put a financial strain on the family, so they were not able to use the cotton crop as planned.
This made Andy and Ann very sad.
They looked forward each year to be able to give to others and to share a little piece of their farm to the community.

So their mother had a great idea.
She told Andy and Ann to go gather the pecans that had fallen on the ground in the back yard.
So Andy and Ann went outside and picked up the fallen pecans that were on the ground. Then brought them back inside to their mother.
