
"Jason, wake up! It's time for your first day of school!" Said Mom as she opened the curtains to let in the light.




"No way, Mom! Think of all the bad things that are going to happen today! I think I'll just get back in bed and go back to sleep." replied Jason.

Mom shook her head and smiled. "Oh yeah? What bad things could possibly happen on your first day of school?" She asked.

"What if when I go to school, I get on the bus and there's no seats for me? So I'll have to stand there the whole time and keep falling over? How silly will I look then!"


"And then when I get to school, I won't be able to find my homeroom and no one will help me because they don't know me, so I will get lost on my way there!"







"And what if when I get to class, I have to introduce myself in front of everyone and they all laugh at my name or my shirt or my shoes!"


"What if when I get to lunch, there's nothing I want to eat in that cafeteria because the smelly lunch lady named Bertha only made tuna casserole."
