
What is a synthesizer?
A Synth is an electronic musical instrument which can produce sound by generating different signals.
These sounds may be shaped and modulated by components such as filters, envelopes, and low-frequency oscillators.
Wavetable (sound)
Using oscillators (LFO), you can make
the movement of the tone.
The first synth was developed by the American acoustical engineers Harry Olson and Herbert Belar in 1955 at the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) laboratories at Princeton, New Jersey.
But term synthesizer was first used
to describe an instrument in 1956.

There are types of them like keyboard synth, modular synths, tables and soft-synth (virtual in PC), that are also splitted into the groups of Analog and Digital.
