After a very long week of school, my parents informed me that I was invited to stay over at my cousin's house for a sleepover this weekend. My cousins live in a cabin four hours away so it’s a special event when I get to visit. We always have the best adventures searching their house for mysterious places, but typically we stay away from the attic. 

After a very long week of school, my parents informed me that I was invited to stay over at my cousin's house for a sleepover this weekend. My cousins live in a cabin four hours away so it’s a special event when I get to visit. We always have the best adventures searching their house for mysterious places, but typically we stay away from the attic. 

The attic has been a mystery to us because it was usually locked. I imagine there is something hiding there. Dragon, jewels or maybe a person could be hiding up there. Well, I have my bags packed and my mom is waiting for me to get into the car. I hope the attic is open and we get to find out all the treasures that they are hiding up there.

We jumped in the car and were off! Four hours flew by with a couple of movies, and we were there. My cousins, Mary and Sally, were waiting for us on the porch when we arrived. “C’mon, let’s go!” They exclaimed in unison, and we all raced into the house.

Sally and Mary told me they could not wait to start our first adventure together, but the way they said it made me a little nervous. They were too excited- the adventure hadn’t even begun! Sally, my oldest cousin told us she wanted to go where no previous adventure had ever led- the attic.

The three of us raced up the stairs to the attic door, we were surprised to find that it was unlocked. Mary was the first one to grab for the door knob and open the door. We all stepped through the attic door with caution to avoid all the different objects that were piled from floor to ceiling. As we started to walk through the attic we saw so many old things that had been collected.
