Introduction
A young boy named Danny. He is 10 years old and is in Mrs Withers class in year 6. Danny loves football; he is in the school team and training for the school football tournament coming up. Danny has a little brother called Leo who is in year 1, He is a good brother most of the time but when the big kids are playing football at lunchtime, he always gets in the way, this annoys Danny very much.

One morning at the start of school, children are gathering in the playground. The bell rings and the children get called to line up. Leo waves to Danny and shouts over "see you at lunch", Danny thinks, oh no! He’s going to get in the way of us playing football. Danny replies "yeah, ok" in a quiet voice. The children go into class, chattering away, Mr Smith shouts "silence", the children then walk in sensibly and quietly.

In the Year 6 classroom, Mrs Withers is teaching English. Sammy, a tomboy in Danny's class, passes Danny a note saying; Football at lunch, ok? Danny turns his head and smiles at Sammy. Mrs Withers notices Sammy passing notes and says "Anything wrong Sammy?", Sammy replies "No Miss", Mrs Withers asks "would you like to share?" Sammy looks away. Three hours later, the children go into the hall for lunch. Danny and Sammy eat so fast (they look like pigs) so they can get outside to play football. Sammy loves football too, but can be a little bit bossy to Danny when they play, she says it's because she likes to win.

The kids are playing football, mostly years 6 and 5, all boys, except Sammy and her BFF Lizzie, but the boys don't mind them playing as they are good at football. Danny was in Team A and Sammy was in Team B, Danny's team had 1 goal more than Sammy's. Just then Leo comes running over shouting "good luck Danny" Sammy thinks, yeah alright, not like he's going to win. Lizzie passes the ball to Sammy, she moves past Danny, past his team mates and lines up to shoot.

Before the ball reaches the goal Leo steps in front and asks "can i join in?" he blocks the ball from going in the goal, Sammy comes running over shouting "you useless rat" and chucks him on the floor. Sammy is still shouting and saying mean things to Leo, but whilst she's not looking, Danny comes running over and pushes her, shouting, "get off my brother", she lands on Danny's ball.

Meanwhile, Leo is crying and holding his grazed knee close to his chest, one of his friends from year 1 helps him up, and they go off to tell the teacher. Sammy is now really angry with Danny and is screaming "it wasn't my fault, he shouldn't have blocked my goal", she grabs Danny's lucky ball and chucks it over the fence into the road. Seconds after a tractor drives over the ball, squashing it flat. Danny bursts into tears, Lizzie starts laughing and Sammy shouts out "cry baby".
