HI my name is Pokey. I'm a porcupine! Not to long ago I started asking mom for ballet lessons. Finally, one day she signed me up. I went a few days later for my first lessons, but it wasn't what I expected.

Instead of having fun. It was the worst time I ever had. I was good at dancing, but all the kids kept making fun of me. They bumped into me because i was so small. It's not my fault, i'm liitle. I did feel bad that my spikes hurt them.

The kids were so mean. I realized the kids never had a porcupine in ballet class before. 

The next dayI told my mom I wanted to quit. My mom said if your sure, but you know how good you are. Try going again one more time. You may surprise everyone with your talent, Pokey. Okie dokie mom. 

The next day, Pokey went to ballet class. The kids weren't happy that Pokey was the class star. Her teacher told her she was the best in the class. Pokey now saw she was as good as her mom told her she was. Pokey was told her class was having a ballet recital.
