My English name is Donita L Slawson and my Dena’ina name is Daz’i K’isen (Firewoman).
Currently, I'm an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Alaska Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula campus. At these two universities I teach the Dena’ina language and Alaska Native Studies classes.
I'm a descendant of a long line of Dena’ina chiefs and medicine people.
