  • Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander was a trailblazing African-American woman who achieved many firsts in her career, including being the first African-American woman to earn a Ph.D. and to be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar. She faced many challenges but persevered and made significant contributions to civil rights and the legal profession.
