Louise McClain is an Instructional Assistant at Brier Creek Elementary School in Raleigh, North Carolina. She enjoys turning on the lights in the minds of students and staff members. Just as the soil must be prepared for the seed to be nourished and grow healthy, the learning environment must be cultivated for growth.

This is an analogous book that shows how the soil represents the learning environment and how the seeds represent the students. A seed must be able to adapt to its' environment, but it can truly thrive when the right steps are taken to prepare the soil, and nurture its' growth with intention.
