Dr. Lorette Sylvia Julia Weldon is a teacher at Outschool.com who prides herself on trying to save the monarch butterfly from extinction. She has turned her family garden into a refuge for monarchs and other butterflies and insects. The monarchs' travels start at the beginning of the year and continue until October when they return to their native home in Mexico.

My family's dream was to have a pollinator garden that pollinators would come to world-wide.
The county government killed my parents' dreams of helping to take care of the planet by having a pollinator garden that would attract pollinators like bees and butterflies to increase their populations. Their numbers are dropping. Plants can't reproduce without these vital insects and birds, so it's important that we do what we can to keep them healthy and happy.
You can't save the world all by yourself, but planting a pollinator garden is a small way to help the planet while filling your yard with beautiful flowers.by Lorette Weldon -
