  The story is about the Once-ler who discovers a beautiful place filled with Truffula Trees and other creatures. He starts a business making Thneeds from the trees, ignoring the warnings of the Lorax who speaks for the trees. Eventually, all the trees are gone and so are the creatures. The Once-ler realizes his mistake and entrusts the last Truffula seed to a young boy, hoping he can restore the forest.
