  • The Quiet Heroes of Maple Grove is a heartwarming children’s story about friendship, inclusion, and discovering that the things that make us different can also make us powerful.
At Maple Grove Elementary School, four friends—Lila, Ethan, Marcus, and Sofia—experience the world in their own unique ways. Some use headphones when the world becomes too loud, while Sofia uses a communication device and wheelchair. Although other students don’t always understand their differences, the four friends support one another with kindness, patience, and friendship.
But when the mysterious Dr. Chaos arrives and fills their school with overwhelming noise, confusion, and fear, something incredible happens. The friends discover that their unique strengths have become extraordinary powers. Working together, they must find the courage to stand up to Dr. Chaos and restore peace to their school.
The Quiet Heroes of Maple Grove is an uplifting story that helps children understand that everyone communicates, learns, and experiences the world differently—and that different doesn’t mean less.
A meaningful read for children, families, classrooms, and special education communities, this story celebrates kindness, acceptance, inclusion, friendship, teamwork, and belonging while reminding every child:
Your differences can be your superpowers.
