I dedicate this book to my family because we went on so many trips so now I have ideas what to write about.

It felt like yesterday when I took a wish on my last day of summer vacation and I spent it camping. I made a wish when I saw a shooting star. After college, I wanted to be an astronaut because I would love to float around in space and discover life. I was also excited because I might be an astronaut.

Chapter One: Home
One beautiful day in a little town called Bluesville and in a big house, I was in bed snoring loudly. Zzz Zzz Zzz! A few minutes later my alarm went off. Ring! RRing! RRINGG! And it woke me up like it was magic. When I woke up, I turned off my alarm and kept sleeping. One minute later, my mom came into my room and told me, “Max, wake up, you will be late for college.” I woke up a minute later and I slumped from my bed into the bathroom. I was as slow as a sloth, and I finally made it to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, and got dressed.

When I came downstairs, Billy, my older brother, and Greg, my younger brother, were already there eating pancakes for breakfast. Our dog, Mutt was also there. This was my third year of college! My dad came into the kitchen a minute later. My mom announced, “Billy and Max, you are responsible for getting in your car and finishing your breakfast yourself because I have to drop Greg off at his daycare, and Dad is taking the train to his work have a nice day.” Billy said, “Okay, you too." So, Mom and Dad marched into the garage. “Billy, let's go pack our bags because we don’t want to be late for college,” I suggested. Billy and I ran like a cheetah to our rooms and packed our bags. “Hurry, we will be late for college,” Billy told me. We opened our windows and said, "Goodbye". When we arrived, we ran into the door of our grades. Billy was about to graduate from college. I was in my third year of college.

Chapter Two: School
The bell rang. Ding ding ding dong. When I came into the classroom, only two people were there: Aviva and Jimmy, the bullies of the whole college. Mr. Huff was in the bathroom, so this was Aviva and Jimmy’s chance to bully me. My face started to turn red. My heart started pumping hard. They screamed, “Well, hello there, loser.” I said my name was Max. But Aviva and Jimmy ignored me and both of them punched me.

One minute later, Mr. Huff came out of the bathroom and said to me, “Hi there, Max.” I said, "Hi there, Mr. Huff. Aviva and Jimmy punched me and called me a loser.” Just then, we had to go to reading class and everybody else came. Mr. Huff could not answer me for the rest of the day.
Later we had a soccer game that was four hours long. My team was called the "Twisted Wizards" and the other team was called the "Killer Jaws". My position on the field was captain and I scored the goal. We lost 2-1. I was in a grumpy mood because our team lost the game.

Chapter 3: Exciting News
When I got in my car, I called Billy and he said, "I will be coming at eleven o’clock because I have to work on a country project. Mom would drop off Greg at Manny’s house and then go to work and Dad had to go on a business trip. In the morning, he packed his bag and went to the airport. So, you'd be home alone or you could invite one of your friends over. Also, you'd have to pick up Greg and put him to sleep." When I came home, I wanted to call my best friend Rohan to come over to my house so we could stay up late watching television, playing video games, and swimming in my pool. He told me, "Okay." I was excited.
The next thing I knew, Rohan was waiting at my doorstep a few minutes later. We played video games, watched movies, and swam in the pool. At seven o'clock, we went to pick up Greg on our bikes. We took his scooter so he could also have transportation. When we came to Manny’s house, Manny and Greg were playing with blocks. Greg did not want to go. Then we finally said something to convince him and he came with us. When we came home, I made Greg his dinner and tucked him into bed. I asked Rohan, “Do you want to do homework together?” Rohan told me “Yes." We got our homework from our backpacks. One minute later, Billy showed up. He said, “I was working on my countries project."
A few minutes later, Rohan’s mom came to get Rohan. I said sadly, ”Bye, Rohan.” Another minute later, Mom came and she got a message from Dad. She said, “Space astronomer Martin called Dad and he said he needed two kids so they could find dinosaur fossils on Mars. He asks if you guys want to go tomorrow.” I was so excited because my wish came true. Billy said he also wanted to go. When I went to bed, I had a nightmare about the movie I watched so I could not sleep all night. So I was not prepared for the careers project. I woke up early the next morning because I had to work on the career day project. After all, if I did not, I would flunk out of college and not get a good job. I told my mom I want to be an astronaut when I grow up. "Very interesting," Mom told me.

The next day, Billy and I went to college, and Aviva, Jimmy, and I went to Mr. Roy, the principal of the college. He said, "Aviva and Jimmy, why did you punch Max and call him a loser?" Aviva tricked Mr. Roy by lying. She said, “Mr. Huff told Jimmy and me to say hi to Max in whatever way we want.” I said, "What about the punching part?” Jimmy looked at me and said, "Aviva and I accidentally got carried away. I am sorry." Mr. Roy said, “Thanks for telling the truth and you don’t have to go to detention.” Aviva and Jimmy gave me an evil smile, then a chuckle, and then a laugh. When I went to my classroom, everybody was there. Koki, my best friend, said, "What are you doing this weekend?" I told her, "We are going to Mars to find fossils and ancient life." "Wow, that is very cool," Koki said with amazement.
That afternoon when I came home, I told Billy, "I am an astronaut just like you so we could go to space." Billy and I went into our rooms and packed phones, clean clothes, books about space, shovels, and astronaut suits. We went in our car and into the space place where rockets get launched. Billy and I went through the main entrance and we asked where Martin was. The chief said, "Martin was waiting for you." When we found Martin, he was packing for our trip. “Where are the tools for digging and finding fossils,” asked Billy. Martin told Billy and me, “The archaeologists have to come."
While I was standing, a robber sneaked into the place where Billy and I were, and Martin was, he poked my air bottle and my air bottle and was using air fast. The robber tiptoed out of the space place. I did not notice. “Can you guys help pack all the things so we are prepared when Chris and Gavin come?” “Okay,” Billy and I said. Later that day, Chris and Gavin finally came to the space place. Billy and I could not wait to go floating around in the spaceship. Billy and I were also excited because we will be on tv for the first time. Martin said, “Come on, Billy and Max. Into the spaceship.”
Billy and I raced in the spaceship with Martin, Chris, and Gavin. Everybody got in the spaceship and buckled their seatbelts. Ten! Nine! Eight! Seven! Six! Five! Four! Three! Two! One! Takeoff!!! Bloom!! Billy and I had never been dizzier. “That was great,” I said. “Unbuckle your seatbelts, and you can float around in the spaceship,” Martin told everyone.
Chapter: 5 Space!
Billy and I were on tv tonight and my mom burst into tears. Billy and I were already bored so we kept studying space from our books. Then Billy and I were having fun floating around in the spaceship. Martin was talking about space with the team back on Earth. Chris was setting up the tools for digging up the fossils. Gavin was driving the spaceship and making sure everything was okay.
Gavin screamed and said, ”Hurry, buckle your seatbelts, there is a meteor shower!” Billy and I put our seatbelts on as fast as we could. We went to go get our books so we could read about space. Billy and I were scared that we were going to bump into a meteor. Our legs shook with fright. But, luckily, we did not bump into a meteor thanks to Gavin putting the evasive maneuvers mode on. It was a very long way to Mars so we took out our phones and played video games. We were bored so we ate food and went to sleep.

In the morning, Gavin was already awake looking at the map and seeing where we were and how much time it would take to get to Mars.
Chapter: 6 A New Planet
We finally got to Mars. Billy and I were so excited. We could not wait to get out of the spaceship and start looking for fossils. But, first, we needed to get our gear on. I told Martin, "Martin, my air bottle had a hole in it and it has no more air left." Martin gasped and said, ”Uh Oh. You can not go outside because Mars has a very high carbon dioxide level.” I sighed. Then everybody hopped out of the spaceship and had fun for a while as I just sat in the spaceship watching them.
