Remember mom was begging us to do another mystery? Billy was on board with it because he loves surprises. I did not want to go. Today was a Sunday, so tomorrow it is school. We have to sleep early and right now we have to be quiet because Greg is taking an afternoon nap and if you wake him up, he can not sleep back. So we had breakfast and it was fried eggs. After breakfast I played a hot wheels tournament and the Lamborghini Aventador won the whole tournament against five hundred hot wheels! It was blue in color and it had stripes.

After the hot wheels tournament I called my new friend, Steve. We watched a cricket match of ipl and the team that was vs. each other were the Delhi Capitals vs the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Delhi won easily. After that we ate lunch, which was pasta in green sauce. After Steve left my house I played video games. I played a game called Minecraft. It is an adventure game where you have to survive a dangerous world. After video games I took a bath and the water was so hot I did not want to get out of the bathtub. When it was dinner we ate it and I went to bed.

In the morning me and Billy woke up and quickly ate breakfast and packed our bags. After that we got in our cars and drove as fast as lighting! When I arrived at my school my best friends were Rohan and Koki. We got ready for an exam and it was hard to understand because Aviva and Jimmy kept on making weird noises.

EXAM DUE TODAY

I finally finished and I had to stay in the house by myself because Billy was at a restaurant with his friends and Greg was at his daycare. My mom was at work and same for my dad so I called my new friend, Amanda, and we did our homework together. It was hard work. We finally finished our work.

After that Amanda had to go and after that my mom came, apparently someone called her and it was Koki and she was asking you if there are some weird holes in the trees and a lot of the trees were losing their leaves and got sick. That must’ve been my worst fear, I did not want trees to die because they are important to us and to the animals. So I called Koki so we can investigate tomorrow after college. She told me “Okay, I am fine with that, it is so weird that the whole forest is like that.” “Yeah, it almost sounds impossible.” I said in a surprised mood. After that Koki left the call.

A second later Billy came the second I was done. I told Billy “Koki just called me-” “Max and Billy, I am going to pick up Greg from his daycare and dad will be coming any minute.” Mom told us. I told Billy for the second time “Okay Billy, Koki just called me and she told me that she was asking me if there are some weird holes in the trees and a lot of the trees were losing their leaves and got sick.” “Oh, can I help?” Billy asked. “Of course” I said happily, someone will help me. “Okay, I will call our friends.” Billy told me. “Sure,” I said. I was so happy someone will help us if we might solve the mystery even faster! After that dad came and we ate dinner and went to sleep.

The next day we went to school and I got detention for two hours because I was late for college because I had low gasoline. So I skipped an important thing for your college grade which was about needing a job and I could not think of one. So I have to come home late. I did not want to be an astronaut because I remembered what had happened when it was my first time. So I decided to be a detective because I enjoy it and I am really good at it. So I wrote a big essay about why I wanted to be a detective.

After I finished that I went to the forest and I met Billy, Koki, Anna, Rodick, and Rohan, Steve, and Amanda. Mack, and Charlie were Billy’s new friends so he invited them to. So we all split up and looked for clues around the forest. I climbed up a tree and felt it, it felt really bumpy. I got a microscope and I checked what was in the hole. But I gave up because I could not get it at the right angle and everything was blurry.

Then Billy thought of a plan, he and his friends were learning how to build technology and he thought of an invention that could shrink things and make it big too. I said “Billy, that is a great idea.” Billy told me “Max it will take a long time to complete it, so I am going to get help from my friends while you and your friends help each other and think of a different plan to solve the problem.”

“Okay.” I said with disappointment because I wanted to help with the invention. Rohan told everybody “let's go home guys, it’s getting late plus we have to sleep.” “Okay.” Everybody said at the same time. We all went to our houses and got a good sleep. The next morning Billy woke me up and told me with a yawn “Max, I woke up all night so I could learn about inventions, so do I have to go to college?” “Yes, definitely.” I told him. Billy sighed, then yawned some more.

So we ate breakfast and we came in our cars instead of the bus because we were late for the bus. When we got to our college we went to our classes as fast as we could. Then we did reading and we had to read a 600 page book at the end of the month! After school I met my friends, but Billy was at his lab with his friends to work on the invention. So we investigated the holes. I thought it could be a woodpecker because woodpeckers make holes in trees to find food.

So at the end of the day I saw what Billy had done, I was surprised because he’d barely started. I asked “What are you doing Billy, you barely started?” Billy told me “Today was the research day, tomorrow we are going to start the invention.” “Oh, and Billy, I have a Hypothesis about what made the holes, it might be a woodpecker.” Billy said “the holes look a little small for a woodpecker and why would all the woodpeckers make holes in all the trees?” I said with disappointment “Oh yeah— Let’s go to sleep now.” “Okay.” Billy told me.
