Now it's your turn to try!

1. On the far left side, click a text box and type "We were on the beach".

2. On the far left side, click Props and click on a dog.

3. Click Design Characters button.

Design a person. Click it to add it.

4. Click Photos. Type "beach" into the search box. 

Click on a photo. Make it a Scene and add it. 

5. Click Voice. Record your voice reading your words.

6. At the top right, click Save & Exit.

I remember one day I was working on my time travel machine. My dad was helping me. He was telling me a story about a time from when he was little. It took place during the Cold War. He told me about the Baby boom and the GI bill,  He said “One day you’ll learn about this in your history class. During the cold war people began having babies like crazy. Hospital Birth Rates were going up more than they ever did before. It was wild.” 

“What did this?” 

I asked because I was now so curious after hearing what my dad had just told me. 

“Soldiers wanted to settle down and start having families because they didn’t want to miss the opportunities while they were home.”

 Me being only in 6th grade at the time was a bit more understanding than most people my age would’ve been. I tried to remember as much as I could from that day I was walking home. 

“There was also something else that helped soldiers out big time. It was called the GI Bill. Do you know what that is?” 

My dad asked me. I responded with “Kind of.”

 He continued his story and explained what the GI Bill was.

 “The GI bill was when soldiers came home they got more opportunities for a much much lower price. They were able to go back to college and learn something new and honestly get a better education which was a good thing for many of those soldiers.”
