"Wake up P", said Palmer's mom. "It is time to get ready for your first day of school"! Palmer rolled out of bed and slowly walked to the bathroom to get ready. She brushed her teeth and put on her clothes. Her mom helped her with her hair. Her dad helped her tie her shoes. Palmer put her favorite snack in her new backpack. Then she was ready to go to school.

On the way to school, Palmer started to get a funny feeling in her tummy, She was getting nervous about her first day. "Who will I know? Am I going to make friends? Is is going to be fun?" she wondered. When she got to school, she was excited bit nervous.

When they got to school, Palmer got out of the car with her mom and dad and walked to the front door of the school. She gave her parents a hug and then built up the courage to walk inside with her teacher.

Once she got inside, she walked down the hall to her class. She look around the room but did not see anyone she knew. She still had that funny feeling in her tummy. Palmer picked a seat next to a blonde-haired girl about the same height as Palmer. "My name is Evie. What is your name?" the little blonde-haired girl said excitedly. Palmer smiled and quietly said, "My name is Palmer".
