Hello, my name is Pearl. And I am appaloosa horse.  I live with a girl named Violetta, she is amazing. She is very gentle and kind. We love galloping in open fields together, and I feel like I am in the wild again.

    I was once a wild horse with two foals. We were grazing peacefully one day when we heard a noise. We all perked up, we saw a strange box with things moving so fast we could not see them. I did not take a second glance as I  ran away, it herded us into a strange pen. Other horses were in there with me. I felt trapped, I  looked around, my fellow steeds appeared 

to feel the same way. they were pacing franticly. I soon realized I was doing the same thing. I slowed my pacing and calmed down, freaking out was not doing anything for me. After awhile the strange creature dropped old grass in the pen. I walked over and sniffed it. I refused to eat it.

     At the end of the day I gave in. I sniffed again, it didn't smell that bad. I closed my eyes and bit in.

                                       Chapter Two

       It was a few says later when I had finally adjusted to this life. I ate when the creatures called hay.(Or haylage) sometimes one of the people would come to the gate and reach out their hand. I would trot away, I want nothing to do with them. One day horses with people on them herded me in my own round pen. I walked around, trot around, no escape. After a few hours a human walked in. he waved a rope around and I started to trot around again. Then he stoped and I went the other way.And then the other way. this went on for awhile until he threw the rope around my neck. I reared and bucked but in was secured tightly around my neck. I calmed down, then he applyed pressure. I moved toward the pressure, then he 

released it. He did it again, I did it again. We did this on and on for a few more minutes until I was within arms reach of him. He reached out to touch my forehead, and I allowed him because he had been kind to me. He touched it for a few seconds then he left. I could tell he was proud of me, I felt happy that I had pleased him. after that I was quite tired so I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
