Knowing how to manage a classroom is very important in order to make sure the classroom is ordered and the students are behaving. It is also important to make sure that the classroom functions throughout the day with little to no intruption of routine. Having a routine and proedures are highly important for basic day-to-day classroom activites

In my classroom I plan on using a simple chant of "one two three, all eyes on me" with the studets responding "one two eyes on you" with the hand gestures of counting to two and pointing to the front or where I am at. This signal is important, as all attention signals in order to make sure you can let the classroom know you need their attention and they know to respond and aknolege they heard tyour request. Making the attention signal makes it so that the students know they need to pay attention in an orderly fashion, not just yelling at the class

There are a couple of classroom management techniques I would Like to use. The first one is making sure not to raise my voice during times of classroom chaos, instead using an attention grabber and disciplinary action if needed. Another one is using American sign language as a way to have the students ask simple questions that can be responded with American sign language or a gesture  in order to avoid interruptions during the lesson and help teach some basic sign language.

It is very important to make sure that during class that the students and routines are managed as well as making sure the students stay engaged. I plan on using asking questions about the lesson to help students engage with the class more, either at the beginning of the day or end of the day. I also would like to use peer teaching as an engagement activity. I think It is very healthy to have students help each other learn and it makes them engage in the material as well as socializing.
