Hi, my name is Mr.Rock! Observably, I'm a rock that can speak. I'm here because I want you to know and learn the different types of me and know what is the rock cycle!

People nowadays just think rock are a useless "decoration" we can found on ground, but Mr.Rock is confuse about why human think in this way, so he want to explain to us how important he is. 

There are different rock type exist in this wonderful planet, let me classify the different rock type to you! 

First, you need to know there are three main kinds of rock. They are igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic. 

Igneous rock, is a rock formed by magma ejecting from the surface or invading the crust for cooling and solidification. It has obvious mineral crystal particles or pores, accounting for about 65% of the total volume and 95% of the total mass of the crust. 

Sedimentary rock,  is one of the three main rocks that make up the earth's lithosphere. During the development and evolution of the crust, under the conditions of normal temperature and pressure on the surface or close to the surface, any pre diagenetic rock is damaged by weathering and denudation, as well as the sedimentary layer formed by the products of biological action and volcanism in situ or transported by external forces, and then formed by diagenesis. On the earth's surface, 70% of the rocks are sedimentary rocks.

Rocks formed by metamorphism. It is formed by the change of mineral composition, chemical composition and structure under the influence of the change of environmental conditions. Its lithologic characteristics are not only controlled by the original rock and have certain inheritance, but also have neogenesis in mineral composition and structure due to different metamorphism. 

This three kinds of rock form earth's ground, so that's why they are that important!

Rock cycle refers to that when rocks rise and altitude, they begin to be eroded, produce fragments and taken away, and precipitate as sediments. In a broader time span, sediments harden into sedimentary rocks, which are often eroded in turn. But they may also be compressed and heated to form metamorphic rocks, or even melt and become igneous rocks. The whole process will be experienced again. This process is called rock cycle.
