To the other boy of the land, in our family, Dad.
Thank you for teaching me about heaps.
Thank you for your arm.

What is a Thylacine?

It is not a tiger!

It is not a dog!

It is not a pig!

It is not a cheetah!

A Thylacine can also be seen on rock art in the Pilbara. This is one of the Thylacine engravings at the Burrup near Karratha. (Image: Ken Mulvaney)

You may have read my other story about Cutie Pie, the
Thylacine.
She ate hot dogs and a lot of them.
Well, I didn’t tell you what the hot dogs were made of and
what she has with her hotdogs.
You may feel sick after reading this so don’t say I didn’t warn
you.

Where Cutie Pie lives has heaps of Bush Tucker.
My sister, Dakoda, my brother Kohbi and I make a special mixture, with my mum to make the special hot dog.
And, because Cutie Pie is like me, she doesn’t really eat a lot of meat, her hotdog isn’t made with kangaroo or crocodile or dugong.

Most of the ingredients we use are from the land of the Pilbara – the Kariyarra and Ngarluma Country.
We have written out the recipe. It includes my Dad, Andy’s, secret herbs, and spices that he mixes straight from the land on Country.
This means that unless you have your own Thylacine, I cannot let you know my Dad’s mixture
Hot Dog Roll
40 Spinifex Seeds Crush into flour
200ml Water Add to the flour
Pinch of Salt Add to mixture
1 tbs Lemon Myrtle Seeds
and secret herbs and spices Add to mixture
Add and combine all the ingredients
Make a roll shape and place onto an oven tray
Bake in an oven at 100 degrees Celsius for 15 mins
Cut open the middle of the roll
