Steps You will follow:
1. Brainstorm
2. Outline
3. Rough Draft
4. Revise
5. Final Draft
Brainstorm:
-This is where you gather information for your essay.
-You first will look at the prompt, and put all your idea on how to attack the prompt on paper.
-You may use strategies such as: Venn diagram, Mind map, pro/ con list, etc. Use whatever works for you, the main idea is you gather all your thoughts in one place.

Outline:
-After your brainstorm, you will put your best ideas into a outline.
-An outline gives a basic framework to your paper and should include: Your thesis statement, Topic sentence for each paragraph, how you will defend your thesis statement (supporting quotes/ argument), and a summary of your conclusion paragraph.

Rough Draft:
-Here you will develop your ideas from your outline into a five paragraph format.
-A rough draft is meant to be rough so feel free to experiment with different sentence structure, word choice, etc...
-Don't worry about how it looks just yet, as the big goal here is to get all your ideas on paper

Revision/Final Draft:
-Here you will cleanup your rough draft. Check spelling, grammar, and sentence structure.
-Use strategies such as: Reading your essay out loud, have a friend read it to make sure it makes sense, read it multiple times yourself.
-Also, don't forget to double check that your essay meets all the requirements in the prompt/rubric.

Congrats, You have finished your essay and now you get to turn it in for the world to see!
