

The first step in the writing process is prewriting. In this step, you write down all ideas you have about writing. You can also free write or brainstorm in this step. Then plan and organize how your writing is going to go. After all of that is done, you move to the next step.

The second step in the writing process is making a draft. This is when you start writing. Don't worry about it being perfect, this step is just for getting the ideas connected and the base for the writing on paper.
