Learning Objectives were simple statements that only tell learners what to do.
Now I think,
When writing objectives using the ABCD model provides additional useful information to students.
Objectives should be more than task driven statements. Students should know the degree of mastery for success at the start of all assignments.

Visual Thinking Routines
I used to think working inside of the box was structured learning and the most effective learning approach.
I now think, the 7 Core Thinking Routines foster critical thinking and are imperative to all progress.




Technology Integration / 21st Century Learning
I used to think, Technology Integration WAS Limited and 21ST Century Learning would be too much for one teacher to execute.
I now think, Technology Integration
is LIMITLESS and 21st Century learning is imperative to learner development.




Technology Integration in my classroom
I will incorporate a different Technology
into one lesson plan each week.
Students will submit various assignments using Google Docs:
Students will use concept mapping during a science lesson to help with "big picture" projects and concepts.

Animated videos/cartoons and visual storytelling will be used to ease tension when introducing new and complex content.
