"Lucy, pay attention." yelled Mrs. G. Lucy flapped her hands back at Mrs. G, and Mrs. G glared. "What is wrong with that girl?" She whispered to her assistant. Her assistant smirked. Lucy took a rubber band and shot it at Mrs. G. "LUCY!!!" yelled the teacher. The little girl tilted her head but she was smiling. "RING!" the bell rang. "Yay, recess!" a little girl named Vanessa got up and twirled. Everyone got up and walked in a straight line, except Lucy. She twirled and twirled like Vanessa and kept saying, "me twirl."

"Ugh, what a weirdo." Vanessa frowned at Lucy. "C'mon," she smiled to her friends, "let's play tag!"
Her friends nodded, and little Kara was it. Kara ran after a boy but on the way to her friend, she bumped into poor Lucy. Kara ran past her, not caring. Lucy had fell on the hard concrete and her chin and her forehead were bleeding. "Lucy! Lucy!" the lunch teacher ran to her. She shook Lucy, hoping to wake her up. She did. "Lucy, Lucy! Are you okay?!"
"No! not okay, not okay, NOT OKAY!" Lucy screamed. The lunch teacher quickly called the nurse and the nurse came outside. She bought some wipes and carried Lucy to her office. Lucy stayed there all recess and lunch, and some part time of math, too.

Kara or her friends didn't even say sorry. When the nurse asked her to say sorry, She said, "Um, no. I didn't bump into her. Jacob did, over there." she pointed to the boy she was running after. The nurse left, right after she said that because she had another emergency. Lucy had to leave that day. She stayed absent for a few days. When her mom heard about this, she knew it was because of Lucy's autism. Lucy has autism, and her mother wasn't happy about it. She knew Lucy didn't have friends because of her autism, and she got hurt because it too. Her mother thought that Kara did this on purpose... and she did.

The next day, Lucy came to school with a lot of bandages and stitches. Nobody asked her how she was feeling or if she was okay. At recess, she stayed inside, drawing pictures of her imaginary friends. Her favorite imaginary friend was Olivia. She had fluffy hair, and dark brown eyes. She was kind and she was awesome at art. She was Lucy's favorite since she was kind. She didn't hurt anyone's feeling's, even if they were mean to her. She didn't talk back to an adult, like Kara did. Lucy liked her, but she wished that one day, she would have a friend just like Olivia.

One bright day, a little girl named Olivia was walking towards her classroom, which was room 29. Her fluffy brown hair blew behind her, and her dark brown eyes were like gemstones glistening in the sunlight. Olivia loved art, and was super good at it. She was kind to everyone, even kids with weird things they do. Autism kids. She had so many friends that had Autism. "Welcome to our classroom, Olivia. Students, this is Olivia. She is a new student at our school." Mrs G announced. Lucy looked up. She looked at her drawing of her imaginary friend Olivia. Fluffy brown hair, dark brown eyes, kind, good at art! She was Olivia! The one she had been dreaming for a long, long time.

"Olivia. Olivia. Olivia." Lucy said, staring at Olivia with a smile on her face. "Ring!" the bell rang. This time, Lucy was finally allowed to go outside! Lucy got up, and walked in a nice line. No twisting or turning in a twirly direction. Olivia was right in front of Lucy, her brown hair in a cute little bun. They jumped on the stairs and walked down and on the black top, Lucy and Olivia stared at each other. "Umm, hi. What's your name?" Olivia asked. "Lucy. Me Lucy." Lucy nodded and pointed to herself. By 3 words, Olivia knew Lucy had Autism. "Do you want to swing?" Olivia asked, hoping Lucy would say yes. "Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes!!" Lucy had a big grin on her face. She ran to the swings, and Olivia did too. They both were super happy, and Lucy was happy she made a new friend. But Vanessa came up to them and smirked.
