Staying Healthy At Home
Staying healthy is important. There are many ways to stay healthy while at home. Eating fruits and vegetables everyday helps your body get the nutrients that are needed to grow big and strong.


Children ages 2-3 should drink at least 2 cups of milk each day
Children 9 and older should drink at least 4 cups each day
Water is essential for your body. To stay well hydrated children should drink a minimum of 64 ounces of water.

Brushing your teeth is important to remove food and bacteria from your teeth. You should brush your teeth twice a day, in the morning and at bedtime.
Ways to stay healthy at home:
Wash your hands:
When they are dirty
After coming from outdoors
After using the restroom
Before and after eating
After blowing your nose, sneezing, or coughing

Why exercise is good for you:
-strengthens your bones
-builds strong muscles
-helps regulate body weight and reduce body fat
-helps maintain normal blood sugar levels
