Today is the first day of school for Jacob. He needs to get ready for the day!

    Jacob's Mom went into his room to wake him up. She softly touched his hair and said, "It's time to wake up, brush your teeth, get dressed, and meet me downstairs for breakfast!" 

    Jacob opened his eyes and said "Ok I will be down as fast as I can!" 

    Jacob is so excited for the first day of school that he finished his morning routine in record time. He runs downstairs and sits at the table for breakfast.

    His mom made him his favorite breakfast of Waffles with blueberries and syrup. This is his first day of school breakfast tradition!

    This year is an extra special one for Jacob because he gets to take the bus to school. 

    He finished his breakfast, grabbed his backpack and lunch, said goodbye to his mom, and walked to the bus stop where he met the other kids taking the bus to school.

    All of the kids got on the bus and off to school they went!

    Jacob arrived at school and says hi to his friends and his teacher. 

    He takes his seat next to a boy he doesn't know and introduces himself. "Hi I'm Jacob! What's your name?"

    The boy looks at Jacob with a grumpy face and says, "Who cares"!" making Jacob feel sad.
