I dedicate this book to the author Rick Riordan because he was the person who hooked me into fantasy writing and he is a great author.

Once upon a time in a city called Kierian, there lived only 100 people. Even if there were only 100 people, the city still ran smoothly. The people were very responsive and always did extra work to keep the city running.

Meanwhile, a villain named Felon snuck into Kierian’s main power orb. He destroyed it quickly, but little did he know he got infected with a hazardous chemical. He turned into a zombie and started infecting other people.
“Hahaha. No one can stop me!”
Eoin was a regular boy when the zombies rampaged Kierian today. He had nothing to do because someone destroyed the power orb. The military was going to fix this. He was sure of it. But, the military was no use. It was like a ping pong ball continuously hit and it was helpless. Soon, the military was all zombies and everyone got infected. Well, except for three people. Himself, a shy girl named Marcie, and a mysterious boy named Remus.
Eoin started to pack his bundle because the zombies could be coming any minute. He packed medicine, food, clothes, and water. He also got a map because there was an ancient temple of Zephyr and it had the power orb shards inside it. He also got a walkie-talkie so he could communicate with Marcie and Remus. When he was ready, he charged. He realized that he couldn’t just go to the open road. He needed a better plan. Eoin was first thinking about going in the water, but then it would be easier to go underground and travel in the sewers. He went to the local network for the walkie-talkies.
“Hello? Anyone?”
“It’s me,” a voice said.
“Who are you?” Eoin called out to the mysterious voice. Then it struck him.
“Marcie?”
“Hello, Eoin,” Marcie spoke, “I am with Remus, where should we meet?”
“Maybe in the sewers?”
“Okay, meet you there.”

Eoin got ready and started heading towards the underground sewers. There was an entrance just a short distance from his apartment. Walking cautiously through the alleys, Eoin finally reached the place. It was only half a mile, but it almost took one hour! Eoin felt he got sucked into the sewer because he didn’t remember going inside. The muckiness was everywhere with some disgusting substance. Rats were everywhere scattering and picking up trash. Finally, Marcie and Remus came and then they started making a plan.

“Guys, let’s make a plan. Let’s first all spy on the apocalypse. Oh yeah, how are we going to get close to them without them seeing us?” Eoin pointed out.
“Uh, Eoin? We won’t have to go far…” Marcie said with a frightened look.
Just then, Eoin, Marcie, and Remus heard distant moans and groans in the distance.
“Oh no! Quick! Let’s get out of the sewer!” Marcie called out.
The trio sprinted through the muddy tunnels and desperately looked for an exit.
Eoin suddenly looked at Remus thinking that he hadn’t made a peep. He looked a little funny, with hair everywhere on his soul. He wore many clothes as if he were trying to hide something. With no time to think, Eoin started sprinting. Zombies were cornering them. They needed to find shelter. It was about noon when zombies roamed everywhere in the not-so-peaceful city of Kierian. Whoever thought of the name wasn’t that smart. Kierian means “little dark one.” It has to do with darkness and sadness. Anyways, the weirdest thing just happened. As soon as we came in the daylight, Remus started screaming and desperately looked for shade.

AAAH!!!

It turns out that Remus was a werewolf. What surprised Eoin the most was that he had hidden it for these many years. Maybe that’s why Remus had a ton of hair on his body. He had also been silent because he didn’t want to give anything away. Anyways, now Eoin and Marcie had to travel during the night so Remus wouldn’t burn in the sizzling summer heat.
