Once upon a time there were 3 loaves and every single day these loaves would sit waiting to be good enough to be eaten, getting staler and staler.

But one day a little girl came long..she looked at the loaves, with a simple tilt of her head, as if studying them.

"What are you loaves doing here?" she asked with a slightly confused grin, "you know...you would have tasted sooooo good on someone's table, but sitting here all this time...they may just feed you to the chickens."

The loaves grew very sad, because they really wanted people to like them, but if just thrown out to feed the chickens noone would know how good they were but the chickens.

Seeing how sad the loaves were, the little girl gathered them all and put them in a little bag.
"I have an idea...come with me and we'll make sure people get to try you out."

Strutting back to her parents house, she put the open bag in a corner and left it there.
Days passed, and the loaves started to worry...was she coming back....did she trick them? They sighed, as the moisture vanished from each loaf.

Then one day, the light came on and the little girl came into the room again, taking the bag of loaves down and carrying them out to the counter. Setting them on the table, side by side, she started to tear them apart, laying them on a cooking sheet.

When she was done, she put some seasoning on them, a little bit of cheese, and carried them to the oven. Pulling the door open, she slid the torn loaves into the heat and closed the door again.
