I am so frustrated with all these dance steps and shapes. I cannot follow the class or my teacher. I feel so left out. Everyone else looks good and I am just not able to fit in. I feel bad.
It is not fair how I have this body that just cannot keep up with the dance class. I am dreaming of dancing in a beautiful tutu skirt.

I cannot jump high, I cannot balance well, I cannot do the split, I cannot focus and I am clumsy too. Everyone else in the dance class looks so great and I am just not good.
I am even thinking of quitting, because I feel miserable in the dance class. I have not told anyone yet though.

I feel like I am stuck on the floor when I jump. I wish I could leap effortlessly like the best dancers can. My leaps look like a turtle trying to jump. It is laughable. Maybe I can learn new skills from sports training...
My new sports coach showed me some jump training drills. Besides other things, athletes do not have to look like dancers. I feel more comfortable. It is fun to learn new skills and not try to have to look perfect.
I went back to the dance studio after my jumping drills. It was great to be back. I love dance so much. I actually noticed that my jumps are getting better. I feel so much happier.

I feel shaky when I try to balance. I wish I could be still and move effortlessly when I am on one foot like the best dancers can. Maybe I can learn from my friend who attends yoga...
My friend told me about yoga. I learned some of those balance exercises. It is kind of fun. Shapes have funny names too. I liked it in the yoga class. Everyone is very supportive. I feel more comfortable when balancing now. It is great to learn new skills.
I went back to the dance studio after my yoga classes. I love dance more than yoga. I actually noticed that my balances are getting better. I feel more still now when I balance. I did not tell anyone about my yoga class experience. I am excited about showing off my balances.

I feel stiff when I try do the split. It hurts too. I wish I could do the split and even maybe some day do the grand jete, like the best dancers can. Maybe gymnastics can help me get better...
My best friend took me to her gymnastics class. I learned some of those extreme stretching exercises. It is kind of fun to be stretching so intensely. I feel more comfortable when stretching after the gymnastics classes. It is exciting to be with the gymnasts. They are so flexible and fearless.
