Victor wants to go to a zoo. Even more, he 

wants to find out what lives there.

On the ride with his mom, he wonders what 

the zoo looks like. He has heard other kids 

talking about it, but he never really paid any 

attention.

When they arrive, he notices the birds. 

   "Can we see those, Mom?'' he asked.

She said,"Sure. They are my favorite place at 

the zoo."

When they exited, Victor mentioned," The zoo 

has amazing animals. I think the birds were 

really colorful."

He really enjoyed looking at the stingrays. 

    "Wow!" he exclaimed. " I never knew a zoo 

can be so exciting!"

After that, he went to see the cats. They were 

huge! He liked the lions best because of their 

babies. He also liked how the male had a 

"beard."

He also enjoyed looking at other cats such as 

the tigers and the hyenas. The tigers had 

orange and black stripes. He liked that they 

were striped. He thought it made them blend 

in with their surroundings.

After that he went to see the zebras. He liked 

that they had stripes like the tigers, except 

they were black and white. He found out that 

they lived in Africa, along with the lions and 

hyenas!

Next, he went to see the gazelles. He was 

amazed to find out that they lived in Africa, 

too!
