There once was a croissant named Oscar. While all 

the other cakes and breads lived inside the 

refrigerator, Oscar lived by himself in a bowl on the 

kitchen counter. 

He could often hear them singing fun songs like 

"Wheels on the Bus" and "Row Row Row your Boat" 

(in the round, no less). 

He wished he could join in with them, but there were 

three problems. First, he was stuck on this bowl in the 

kitchen. Second, he couldn't sing! Third, he was 

afraid to be rejected because of his appearance and 

taste.

One morning, all cakes and bread wonder who will 

be sold today. The cupcakes said, "I think we are 

going to be sold. We are the most delicious 

delicacies in the whole wide world."

Then two cakes appeared. One of the cakes said, 

"Cupcakes, looks like you are wrong. We are going to be 

sold today. You are way too tiny to be a delicacy."

This made the cupcakes confused.

Then the wedding cake came to the counter. He sneered, 

"How about beauty and flair? You guys may look yummy, 

but I'm more attractive than you all."

This made the cakes even more confused.

Then Oscar the croissant appeared. The other cakes look 

down on him, while he is looking up.
