There was once a lonely dragon. He have no 

friends, not even one. He is isolated from 

everything and lived remotely in a lake surrounded 

by dark trees, because of his scary look.

He always search for friends. He search for one 

everyday of his life.

No matter how he approach to them, they always 

got scared. This rejected dragon always went home 

with a tear on his face.

One day, the dragon went to the beach. He saw 

seagulls and whales there, but they fled from him. 

Once again he felt sad. He knew he have to keep 

persisting. 

When noon about to fade, he saw a mermaid. The 

mermaid was beautiful and lovely in form and 

appearance. He at first felt nervous and scared 

about approaching her.

The mermaid, despite of the dragon's creepy appearance, 

greeted, "Hello."

The dragon then replied, "Huh? I thought that you would 

be scared of me."

She answered, "Of course not."

The dragon asked, "Are you lonely? I'm lonely."

The mermaid said, "I'm lonely too. Come on, play and swim 

with me."

The dragon took a step on the billowing wave. He said, 

"Hmm, looks like I cannot swim."

The mermaid shouted, "Come on, you could swim. You are a 

dragon. Don't be afraid. Dragons could also swim."

Then the dragon took a few more steps and began to move 

his arms aimlessly. He thought, "After all, I could actually 

swim."

The mermaid then said, "Come on, let's go to my home. 

It's in the sea."

He first must sank himself to the deep royal sea. 

They then recede from the sky to the blue water. 

The dragon gurgled three bubbles.

"This way," said the mermaid.

The dragon replied, "Okay."
