I would like to dedicate this book to my cousin who enlightened me on all things about ISS (In-School Suspension).

This is a story of two best friends, Leon, and Kai in middle school.
Leon was tall with messy dark hair and hazel eyes that sparkled mischievously. He loved adventure and jokes, even though he often got in trouble for being late or not paying attention in class. Despite this, people liked him a lot.
However, Leon had some worries hidden behind his fun personality. He struggled with schoolwork and had a tough time focusing on class. He preferred chatting with his friends.
His friend, Kai, was quite different. He was short and serious looking with neatly trimmed hair and steady brown eyes. Kai was a natural leader who stayed calm and faced challenges with determination, although sometimes he could be a bit stubborn.
Despite their contrasts, Leon and Kai were close friends who supported each other. They worked well together, helping each other through the tough times of growing up.
Once upon a sunny morning in their bustling town, Leon and Kai embarked on their familiar journey to school. The streets buzzed with activity as cars passed by, and the warm sunlight painted everything in a golden glow. But despite the picturesque scene, the duo felt the weight of their impending tardiness pressing down upon them.
"We can't afford to be late again," Leon muttered anxiously, his eyes darting to the clock ticking away the seconds.
Kai nodded in agreement, his heart racing with the fear of yet another punishment for their chronic tardiness.
As they rushed through the school gates, the familiar chime of the bell signaled the start of another day. But this time, it also marked their tenth tardy, a milestone that carried grave consequences.
The principal looked very serious as they stood outside her office, waiting to see what would happen next. They knew they were in trouble and would have to stay in school for a while as punishment. This time, they couldn't avoid it, no
matter how hard they tried.
Confined within the walls of the ISS room, Leon and Kai found themselves immersed in a sea of assignments and lectures. The days stretched on endlessly, each moment filled with the repetitiveness’ of learning and the weight of their wrongdoings.
