How to get your cell phone 

in your room!

It was the night of the school auction and Audrey and Maya had big plans! It was the first time their parents were letting them stay home alone by themselves. They had been planning this night for a week. Diligently, showing their parents how responsible they could be.

They did homework and chores, without being reminded and even promised to go to bed early, but for sure no later than 8pm. Audrey, being older, knew if they did not follow their parents rules freedom could be lost forever! 

Their parents kissed them goodbye, and told Audrey and Maya that they would be home by 10pm. The parents said other things too, but Audrey and Maya were so excited that all they heard was wah, wah, wah.

After the parents left, Audrey and Maya knew the first thing they were going to do was watch a movie. Audrey wanted to watch High School Musical and Maya wanted to watch Frozen.  Maya threatened to call mom, so they 

agreed to watch Frozen. 

Once they were done with the movie they played a few games, but mostly just talked and giggled. Until… they heard the grandfather clock strike 9pm! “Yikes” squealed Audrey! “What are we going to do?” asked Maya. “Don’t panic” exclaimed Audrey. Let’s just do what we see Mom and Dad do every night.

So they locked the door from the garage to the house. They plugged in their cell phones in the chargers downstairs, turned all the lights off, and even brushed their teeth.
