When you write a story, you must have some sort of adventure to fuel the reader's excitement. It doesn't have to be castles and dragons, it can be anything!

is for blank

A book always begins with a blank page. Don't be overwhelmed by all the possibilities, just think about what you will ENJOY writing.

Writing is a way to have control. You choose what the characters do. You always get the benefit of the outcome. Choose wisely and don't stress. Trust your gut and spin a tale!

is for detail

Detail makes readers feel like they are in the story and with the characters. Using this trick makes people everywhere interested in your story. For example, if you were writing about a lion, describe it's surroundings, too.

is for excitement

You want readers to be excited to learn more when they listen or read your writing. To enable this behavior, use cliffhangers or lots of sensory language.

is for funny

Not ALL stories are funny. But making readers laugh helps them to relate to your story. Not to mention you'll crack them up!

is for grammar

Everyone makes mistakes. But using proper grammar makes your stories cleaner and easier to follow. You can ask a relative or friend for a grammar check if you're unsure.

is for happy

To keep writers feeling good about your story, give it happy, positive moments. Not everything has to be cheery, just make sure to add happy times because not everything is sad, either.
