This book shares my observations and learning during my infants field placement. It shows how I observed children's development and supported their learning through play.

During my placement in the infant room, I regularly observed children during play, routines and interactions to better understand their interests and developmental progress. 

Before completing observations, I ensured that parental permission had been obtained according to the center’s policies. 

One observation focused on an infant playing with blocks. The infant carefully picked up the blocks, smiled when the tower stayed up and laughed when it fell. The infant repeated the activity several times with more excitement.

I observed that other infants watched with interest and joined the play by handing the blocks to the first child. I recorded these actions without making assumptions about their feelings and emotions.
