Once upon a time a woman and her
daughter were walking in the forest
on the first week of Spring. The mother
went for a walk in the forest at this time
every year, but this year she decided to
take her daughter.
Her daughter asked her a question, “Momma,
why are there four seasons?” The mother chuckled.
“Well, my little one, as it turns out,
I know something about that…”

You see, not that long ago, there was a
Princess who lived in a far away land that
was surrounded by desert.
Her name was Sekhmet and
she was not just a princess…

She was the
Goddess of Fire!

Unfortunately for the people of Sekhmet’s kingdom,
Sekhmet had problems controlling her power and the
weather was always hot.
Even worse for Sekhmet, people started to burn if
they touched her. Sekhmet was very sad because her
power prevented her from ever hugging anyone or
even holding their hand.
Sekhmet was very lonely.

But then one day, something miraculous happened.
Bizarre, white shapes started falling from the sky.
The people of the kingdom had no idea what they
were looking at and became very scared.
At first they thought it might be ash, and that
the Goddess Sekhmet had burned down a building!

But when the shapes touched the ground,
they turned to water! The people went to go
see the shapes, which felt cold, a feeling no
one in the kingdom had felt for a long time.
They soon became frightened and thought something
had happened to their Goddess!
But Sekhmet was fine. She used her powers
to get rid of the strange shapes.

?

The Goddess was curious.
“Where did these mysterious, cold shapes come from?
They were certainly beautiful. I’d like to meet
whomever made them,” she thought to herself.
She could tell by the wind that the shapes were
coming from the north.
Thus began the Goddess Sekhmet’s journey.

Sekhmet got into her ship and sailed
across the Mediterranean sea.
The more North she got, the more
cold shapes she saw!

There were mountains of the shapes and
the people she encountered did not seem pleased
at all. They were all dressed in layers upon layers of
clothing, which only seemed to help a little bit.
Sekhmet used her powers to warm the area up, for
which the people were very grateful.
