There was a boy named Fred. Fred was terrified
of spiders. He screamed every time he saw a
spider. Fred would scream if there was a spider
in a house, in a car, or outside. When Fred
screamed, his family would know it was a
spider. Fred's sister Ivy loved spiders. She had
three pet spiders. Fred hated them. The spiders
got out and went into his room only because he
had food sitting and rotting in his room. One
day, Ivy decided to prank him.

Ivy put her tarantula in Fred's room. Fred saw it
and screamed. His sister laughed. His parents
slammed their heads in the palms of their
hands. Then it was dead silent. The spider was
lost. Fred quickly ran out of his room. When he
ran down the stairs he hit his head. He got
rushed to the hospital and the doctors said he
had a minor concussion and he could go home.

Fred realized he could talk to animals. He didn't dare
tell anyone his power because he thought they would
think he was crazy. He found the spider was not scared
of it for some odd reason. Fred picked up the spider and
gave it to his sister. Fred wanted a spider too. Fred
asked his parents and they said, "Are you sure? I
thought you hated spiders."
Fred said,"I thought about it and I said, "Why am I
scared of spiders? I came up with nothing. so, I guess I
can get one."
"Oh, all right," said his parents.

So, Fred went to the pet store and a got a tarantula
named Legs. He loved his spider. It was brown with
yellow stripes.
Legs said, "I will behave! I am so happy you got me!
Nobody else wanted me because I was ugly!"
Fred said, "You are the prettiest spider I have ever
seen!"
"You really think so?" Legs asked.
"Of course," Fred replied.

Fred let Legs play with Ivy's spiders too. The spiders had
so much fun together. One day Legs got hurt. One of his
eight legs broke when the spiders were playing. Fred
wrapped Legs' leg. When Legs was hurt, they watched
movies. Legs loved the movie Several Spiders. They
ended up watching Several Spiders three times.
