Lellow the Lion and his friends enjoyed playing I Spy and other games almost every day.
One day, the dog, Amelia, walked by and saw the friends playing. She wanted to play with them but was too shy to ask if she could join in.
Instead, she followed Lellow and his friends and
watched them play.

One day, when Princess Leah Grace was alone,
Amelia asked her how she had become friends with her animals.
Princess Leah said, “I made friends with animals by using magic to make them talk.
We spent time together playing, and we became the best of friends. I also used magic on my farm animals, and they told me how to make friends with other animals.”
“Maybe they could advise me, too,” Amelia purred, her eyes filled with curiosity.
Amelia belongs to Miss Peabody, a woman on the next street from where Princess Leah lived.

One day, while the friends were playing hide and seek,
Amelia stopped to watch them play, as usual.
But this time, Princess Leah was playing, so she asked
Amelia, if she wanted to play with them.
“Yes, please, but first, I must ask my mum if I can play!”
said Amelia.
Ten minutes later, Amelia came back to play with Lellow and
his friends.

Princess Leah introduced Amelia to her friends.
“My name is Amelia, and I have just moved into the
neighborhood.”
“Amelia, you can play with us,” said Lellow.
Amelia was so pleased that she had made some new
friends.
Back in Princess Leah’s house, Lellow suggested playing
a game.
“It’s called Senses,” he said.
“We all have five senses,” said Hopey.

“The senses are touch, hearing, smell, taste and sight,” said Lellow.
By then, the friends were eager to play; they took in turns to match the words to the right pictures. Lellow has already done one for you!

“It is good to take turns,” said Princess Leah. The friends
agreed.
“Do you know what we see with?” asked Hopey.
“Our eyes!” Ellie the elephant shouted out.
The friends continued to take turns matching the words to the right pictures.
“What do we hear with?” asked Amelia.
“I know, I know,” Ellie said, waving her trunk in the air,
accidentally hitting Lellow on the head.
“Our ears!” said Lellow as he held his head and said, “Ow!”
“Sorry, Lellow, I didn't mean to do that,” said Ellie
“That’s OK,” said Lellow.

Then, Lellow and his friends began to laugh.
Please take a look at the pictures below. Can you help Lellow and his friends match the words to the correct images?
Draw a line to match the words to the right pictures. Mo have
done already done one for you!

Amelia was so eager to make friends that she got muddled up
when she tried.
“Don’t worry, I’ll show you how it’s done!” said Lellow.
Lellow then explained which word went with the right picture.
“The word ‘smell’ matches the picture of the nose,” Lellow
explained.
Amelia looked at the pictures and matched one to the correct
word, and then looked at Lellow.
“Well done, Amelia,” said Lellow.
“She is trying hard, isn’t she?” said Princess Leah.
The friends all agreed.
Did you get them all right? Look at the pictures below.
They have all been matched to the right words!

“Well done, everyone,” said Princess Leah.
“Now we can start a new game,” said Lellow. Suddenly, there
was a loud knock at the door.
It was Amelia’s mum.
Amelia had to go home because she was not allowed to stay
out late. She said goodbye to her new friends.
Once Amelia had gone home, Lellow said, “Shall we play a
new game now?”
They played by matching the words to the right colour of the car.

Blue
“Ellie is trying hard, isn't she, Lellow?” said Princess Leah.
“She is trying very hard.” agreed Lellow.
“Game’s finished,” cried Mo, who was bored.
“No, it isn’t!” said Lellow.
After some arguing, the friends agreed to carry on playing.
“I want to match the words to the right colour of cars,” Ellie said impatiently.

They took turns to match the words to the right colour of
cars.
But Mo was jumping around, holding the five cars in his hands,
refusing to share.
He saw that Ellie was cross with him, so he immediately put the
cars down.
“It’s important to share!” said Ellie crossly. “That way, we can all
enjoy playing."
“Sharing is important. It’s something we need to learn to make friends and play together without fighting,” said Lellow.
“Taking turns and sharing are important,” said Princess Leah.
Lellow showed Mo how to share and take turns, and Mo followed his lead with a proud smile.
