 It was the day Adrian had 

been dreading . Today Adrian 

had to go to the doctor and get 

his shots . Adrian was very 

scared.

"Why do I have to get a shot 

mommy ?" Adrian's mom told 

him that all little kids and 

adults have to get shots so 

they can stay healthy , but 

Adrian still did not want to go . 

 Adrian told his 

mommy that he 

did not want to go 

because it would 

hurt . His mother 

told him it will only 

sting for a minute 

and then it will be 

over . 

Adrian knew he did not have a 

choice. He knew that he would 

have to go, so he went to the 

car,   put his seatbelt on and 

him and his mother headed 

towards the doctors office.

When they arrived at the doctors office 

Adrian was   more nervous than ever , 

but when they called his name and he 

met the doctor and nurse he realized 

they were very nice . They explained to 

him that he had to get shots to 

keep his heart healthy , and that they 

would count to three and it would be 

over. They even told him that he would 

be able to pick out his own bandage and 

that he would get a sucker for being 

such a big   

boy.     

After the doctor finished 

talking to Adrian , the 

nurse got all the stuff ready 

and told Adrian it would 

only be a little pinch and  

that he had to hold still.
