Once upon a time, there was a princess. She was said to be the fairest of all the land, daughter of the most powerful king! The time had finally come for a prince to win her heart...but it wasn't going to be easy.

2
Princes came from all across the lands, but only 10 were deemed worthy of the princess' hand.
The first prince had come from a luxurious kingdom, he was very charming and brought her what he thought would be irresistible to the princess...the largest diamond they had ever mined!
Princess! I have brought you this diamond, just as fair as you! It is one of the strongest minerals, basically impossible to scratch. Also, very dazzling, worth thousands my dear. Surely this diamond is worth the consideration of your heart?

3
Then came the second prince, he was adorned in red rubies...
Princess, oh, princess! You are as lavishing as this gift I have brought you. I have brought for you the Red Beryl Emerald, a rare mineral only found in the distant lands of Utah, in the ancient mountains of Wah Wah. It's very valuable! I am most certainly worth your hand in marriage!

4
The third prince strolled in, confident as ever. He wore armor so bright it reflected off beaming rays of light. He wore an easy smile, looking as if he had already won.
My fair princess, do not settle with the other princes, for I have come, a true prince of gold! Why settle for those mineral fakes when you can always depend on the value of gold? Gold is authentic, resistant to chemical attack, and workable. All in all, gold is very useful, just like I am.

5
The 4th prince arrived soon after, with pots and pans rattling along with him in his carriage. Exotic spices filled the air, fresh pastries were heaped in the following carriages behind him. To say the sight didn't make you hungry would be an understatement.
Oh, oh, oh! My dear, my dear! I have come to bring you something much more interesting than a few sparkly minerals. I have brought a different type...salt! Salt in its natural form of course, otherwise it wouldn't be a type of mineral. Salt is used for all kinds of foods! Some types of minerals can be eaten by humans as well, obviously, that includes salt. Oh, food...A simple joy in life! Choose me and discover the best tasting foods of the world!

6
The 5th prince bowed respectfully, though his outfit was debatable...His attire was split precisely in half, right down the middle. Half bright blue, half dark green. Literally.
Princess, I have brought for you something quite fascinating. It is called the Blue Garnet, a rare mineral. What makes it so unique is that it changes color when exposed to sunlight! Isn't that intriguing? The blue is by far the most prized of all the garnets...Don't take the hand of such an original giver, give your heart to a prince much more 'unique', like me!

7
The 6th prince arrived on a steed of all black horses, with an all black carriage, suited in armor of all black. He drew a large block of dark black from his solid black chest.
Black is the strongest color, therefore black is the most valuable color. My favorite rock I have brought for you is the extrusive igneous rock obsidian...a substance of pure black. This rock exudes strength, forged from the lava of a volcano. Pick me, I assure you I am the strongest of all 10 princes.

8
The 7th prince scuttled forward, hesitant, with a very large rock in his arms. The rock was so large it looked like it could break his twig like arms in half. How could he carry such a thing?
H-hello princess...I have with me a very, uh, large rock. You're probably wondering how I'm carrying it, this rock is called Pumice, a special type of rock that can actually float. It looks v-very heavy but actually, it's dense and light. Choose me and I promise I will keep your k-kingdom afloat just like this Pumice!
