The Robbed Train

  It happened on a train when the conductor let the wrong people on. The wrong people I am talking 

about were robbers. They stole everybody’s money and told the conductors “Get Down!” They had 

lots of money.

     There were two robbers. One was big and hairy while the other one was small and fat. They 

weren’t smart at all and yelled out the window “We just robbed a train!” Luckily, the cops caught 

them. 

     When the cops arrived to arrest the robbers and the take them to jail, the passengers got off the 

train. Shortly after that the passengers got back on. They were headed to Six Flags which was three 

hours away. Some people started to listen to music and sing.

     While they were traveling the train stopped suddenly. The train was too heavy with all the 

passengers on it, so it fell off the track. Some muscular men passengers found a forklift and moved 

the train back on the track.

     Finally, after 45 minutes the train started moving again. None of the passengers wanted to stop 

anymore because they were ready to ride Goliath. They were only 45 minutes away. People were 

playing games and talking again.

     The conductor was looking for the right stop. He suddenly realized that they were lost. The 

passengers angry with the conductor got off the train and ran fast towards a gas station. The only 

people left on the train were the conductors when unexpectedly the robbers showed up again.

Creatures of the Night

Hi my name is Alex M. One day I went a cemetery to see my great grandpa’s tomb. Suddenly 

a ghost and vampire appeared. They were looking at me.      They thought that I was the 

perfect dinner for them. I ran to a tree so they couldn’t find me. The creepy vampire caught 

me and bit me. It hurt, but I ran again. Then the messy ghost tried to attack me but I ran 

very fast to get away.      I heard the ground open and I saw two creatures get out of the 

ground. They were a dirty skeleton and an ugly zombie. They both looked hungry and mad. 

So they tried to get me but I ran deeper into the cemetery I stopped and looked around and I 

found a whole in a prickle bush. I crawled in and hid.

     The zombie did not find me but he could smell where I was hiding then he found me and 

he grabbed my arm but I pulled his arm off. The zombie ran away. The vampire scratched me 

but I punched him. He ran away. The sun began to rise and the zombie and the vampire 

vanished.   The skeleton and ghost saw me. They tried to punch and kick me but I kicked 

them very hard and they fell into prickle bushes. They ran away. The sun rose in the sky 

completely and the skeleton and the ghost vanished.

         I never went to the cemetery again.

My Trip

    Hi my name Britany.   Today I am going to learn how to fly a plane and the pilot was with 

me. Someone had put in a snake in the plane. The snake had bit me, and I fell off into the 

Gulf of Mexico. It was 94 degrees in the water. I saw a boat, and I said, “Help me!” But no 

one saw me. So I swam to the boat, but it was too fast. So on the other side I saw a 

mermaid sitting on top of a rock. I went and said hi. She said, “Don’t come any closer or 

something will happen to you.’’ I did not listen to her and went closer. I turned into a 

mermaid. I said, “What happened! ‘’You’re a mermaid’’ she said. “How did I turn into a 

mermaid?” and how can I turn back into a person?” I screamed. “You have to find a kind of 

drink that is in the castle.” she said. “What castle?” I said. “The castle is deep down in wonder 

land” she exclaimed. “How can I get there?” I said.   “You will have to use this map to help 

you.” The mermaid explained. I read the map and followed the directions. It said to go one 

step north, then four steps west, and one step south. It was close. I went that direction and 

got there.

 The Scary Cemetery

      One day I wanted to go to the cemetery. I asked my parents if I could go the cemetery 

and ride around. They said, “You can go Carrson but only if your brother and sister go with 

you.”

     I said “Okay!” Then I went and asked my sister. She said “I am not going by myself.” I 

laughed and said “You’re not going by yourself.” “I am going to ask Lucas to come with us” I 

replied. She said “Okay but it is dark!” I told her not to be a baby and come one. Once she 

and my brother were ready, we all went to the cemetery.

     Once we got to the cemetery, we saw some ghost that walked over to the gate and closed 

it. My sister and I were so scared. To our surprise, the ghost suddenly called zombies to rise 

from the dead. We watched them do this with our mouths wide open. 

     They came out of their grave and tried to eat us. We tried to run out of the gate, but it 

was closed. My brother who said he wasn’t scared even tried to run out of the gate.

     The ghosts were coming closer and closer to us. The only thing we could do was hit the 

gate really hard. Suddenly, the gate opened. We ran home as fast as we could, looking back 

every once in a while to make sure nothing was chasing us. When we finally got home, we all 

told each other that we would never go to the cemetery again.

Midnight Madness

    One day my mom, dad, and I were going to put some red roses on my grandmother’s grave. 

While doing this we heard a loud BOOM! I looked at mom and dad and said, “What was that?”

    I ran to the gate clumsily and discovered that the gate was locked. I asked myself out loud, 

“Did a ghost do this?” I yelled, “MOM! Dad! Come Quick!” When they finally found me they 

asked what was wrong. I said, “The gate is locked. I am afraid we will have to find a way to 

escape.”

    We started to walk around the cemetery. We thought of an idea that just might help us 

escape. We thought we could climb over the gate. So, I tried to climb the over gate, but it was 

too tall.

    So we just walked around the cemetery again trying to think of another idea. Unfortunately, 

we could not figure out another idea.

    We stayed at the cemetery for a long time scared because we did not know how we would 

ever be able to escape. At about midnight, I came up with a brilliant plan. 

    I told my mom and dad that their cell phones could be used to call somebody. So we called 

the gatekeeper to come get us out. Finally, someone came, and we never went back to that 

cemetery again.

The Terrible Nightmare

    Hello, my name is David. One foggy, full moon night, I was riding my bike and mom was 

beside me. Suddenly, I fell down, and when I looked up my mom was out of sight.

I didn't see anything except the stone cold graves. It was hard to see because of the fog. I 

yelled "Mom!" No answer. I picked up my bike and started walking into the darkness.

    I heard creepy noises. I even saw shadows walking from grave to grave. I got really 

scared. I yelled once more. I heard an answer, but it wasn't my mom's voice.

    The voice sounded small and far away. I saw a man. He looked like he had been living on 

the street. The ghost said "Why are you here?" in a deep scary voice.

    I said that my mom and I were taking a shortcut. I fell and my mom was gone. Even 

though I tried to sound brave, it came out shaky and scared. Then the ghost pointed at an 

exit. I got on my bike and went there.

    As I was riding my bike through the fog, I heard the ghost laugh in an evil way. I sped 

up because I was afraid the ghost would get me. I saw a gate. Surprisingly the gate was 

open. When I saw my mom, I told her what happened to me in the graveyard. Suddenly, I 

woke up and noticed it was just a terrible nightmare.

The Big Volcano

Hello, my name is Emma. One day I went on a vacation. The place my family took me was a 

volcano. The volcano was very big! But there was also quick sand on one side of the volcano. 

My parents said “Be very careful and watch out for quicksand!” I said to them “I will.”     

Then, I started to go towards the volcano. I met a lot of animals in trees like tree frogs and 

monkeys. I asked my parents “Can I get a little closer the volcano?” They said “No.” I said 

“Oh, I get it because I will get hurt.” I thought this was very exiting! My parents said “Well we 

better start heading home.” I was thinking the same thing silently.

 Then, we started shaking! I started to feel very scared because the volcano started to erupt! 

Also, the shaking ground kept moving me towards the quicksand. I told my parents to help 

me, and they immediately ran to me. 

All of a sudden, I fell into the quicksand. My dad came and yanked me out of the quicksand by 

using a long stick! We all ran as fast as we could. We were almost to the car when lava 

started coming out of the volcano! Luckily, we got to the car but the lava was close to us! So 

we drove away from that volcano.     

We were all safe at home. We had a lot of work to do to get away from that. When we finally 

ate dinner and we all agreed that we would never take a trip like that again.

The worst day in Scotland 

   One summer my family flew to Eden borough Scotland on a long plane. After we landed my 

dad, mom, sister, and uncles, and me rode on a bus that took us to our hotel.    Next to the 

hotel was a big, old, tannish brick castle. We went to visit the castle to see the Crown jewels. 

We saw rubies, sapphires, and emerald jewels.     All of a sudden we heard a boom. I said “It’s 

the one o ‘clock guns. “ But then I looked outside up in the sky. Again I heard a loud boom. 

The sky was really black. I saw a tornado forming in the sky. I saw clouds spinning with 

wooden debris tangled in the clouds.   I thought of a safe place to go so I said “Everyone go to 

the dungeons”.    I told my family to get in the middle of the dungeons. Then I heard the 

sirens.       The wind got strong. I heard debris hitting the side of the castle. After 6 minutes it 

stopped. But it was still raining. I and my family went up on top.     It was a huge mess. Trees 

were everywhere. I saw houses destroyed. Debris was scattered about. We went back to the 

hotel. The next day we packed up and left.

A Weird Vacation

SUPRISE! My mom came home from work and said we are going on vacation to 

California. So we packed our bags and headed to the airport. When we were high in the 

clouds, it suddenly became dark and a storm was headed our way! Lightning struck the plane 

and we lost a wing. We crashed into the water.

Next, I got out of the plane, and realized I could breathe under water. I saw an octopus. 

He swam up to me, and he cornered. It grabbed me and slammed me against the ocean 

floor. So I used all of my strength to get away. 

After that I saw Nemo and Dorry. Dorry was crazy and Nemo was calm.

Then, we saw a shark, but he didn't hurt us. I was shocked. 

Soon, I said bye to them and swam to shore. When I got back to my family, we started 

walking across rocks and rivers. An alligator named Marvin started attempting to sell coconuts 

to us. It was really weird.

Finally, we got him to go away and an hour later we got home. I washed myself off with the 

hose then went inside. I said to my parents “That is a vacation I will never forget.

The Volcano That Erupted in Mexico

ONE day a tall, peak like volcano erupted in South Park, Mexico! My dad and I who were on 

vacation started to evacuate when we heard that it was too late. The volcano was already 

erupting. I said," The volcano is erupting.”   My dad said to me "warn the citizens.” Knowing 

that we needed to help some of the citizens of South Park, we got on a helicopter at a local 

helipad to see how we could escape and help the citizens at the same time. 

The citizens were terrified when I told them that the volcano was erupting. Lots of them were 

screaming, and some of the kids were crying. Many officials were telling the citizens to leave. I 

was scared because I thought that many of the people would not escape in time. 

About the time the citizens got away from the danger zone, I ran to the helicopter to get away 

from the blast area! I was not sure I was going to make it back to the helicopter in time 

because the hot, red lava was coming my way.

As I leaped into the helicopter, the pilot said “Get on! It is going to explode!   By the time we 

got out of the volcano area it exploded! My dad said “Let’s not go on a vacation again.” Sitting 

next to him on the helicopter, I said “YES!”
