To my dear Stephanie, already quick as a whip,
And to the very tough math, on which you have quite the grip!
May you continue to grow, ever so smart,
Second to your brain, only your giant heart,
Use your wits for good, they will take you any place,
And when all else fails, use that pretty face!

One.
One big heart inside a little girl,
Growing up in this gigantic world,
One brother, one sister, one little pup,
Playing, fighting, living it up!
One home, one school, one pretty bedroom,
One day to be shared by a handsome groom!

2

One father, one mother, all their love for you,
Could fill the land, the sea, the sky and the zoo!
One grandfather lost, but always nearby,
One grandfather remaining to make you cry!
One family growing bigger but always together,
One sounds lonely but in reality it is never!
3

Two.
Two hands, two feet, two ears, two eyes,
Two parents to sing you lullabies!
Two grandmothers who love to spoil you rotten,
Two siblings who demand not to be forgotten!
Two aunts that love when you come to play,
Two doggies they have to make your day!
4

Two decades to go until you can drive,
Two decades of school to help you thrive,
Two decades of summer camps and fun,
Then its off to work, and the party is done!
So for these two decades enjoy being young,
Break the rules at the top of your lungs!
5

Three.
Three kids playing in the Kattan house,
Each loud as an elephant, small as a mouse!
Three meals a day for your favourite food,
Then popcorn with movies if Dad's in the mood!
6

Three floors in the house,
To play hide and seek,
To have friends over,
Everyday of the week!
7

Four.
A special age for a special girl,
One that is giving the world a whirl,
Stephanie, headstrong and oh so smart,
Not afraid to turn over the apple cart,
She works hard and makes us all so proud,
But if you upset her, she will scream up a crowd!

8

Her affections are kept hidden,
Although she is loyal to the core,
All it takes is her one special smile,
For your heart to hit the floor!
9

Five.
Five in the car, its getting tight,
Strapped down and wanting to fight,
Sophie in the middle, Mommy at the wheel,
On their way to McDs for a happy meal!

10

Five Six Maplewood,
to Grandma's place!
Run up the stairs,
Its a very tough race!
Grandma will be waiting,
With an ice cream cone,
Mango will be barking,
Until she gets her bone!

11

Six.
Six is a big number, with grade school just beginning,
We can all guess already, Stephanie will be grinning,
She'll learn plenty of new things, in a new shiny place,
She'll make many new friends, with many a new face,

12

She'll get to do more math,
She'll learn to multiply,
Through the pages of her books,
Stephanie will fly!
