Winkle was a clever pet

A pup as smart as you could get

She was as bright as bright can be

But would she EVER learn to wee?

She was meant to wee in the yard

But she found that quite hard

She had to go out of the door

Not just wee on the floor

But as often as not

She just plain forgot

Oh gosh. Dearie me.

Winkle’s done a great big wee

When it came time for a swim

She’d dive straight on in

From her seat in the car

She’d ride near and far

She could play hide and seek

And not take a peak

She’d greet dogs at the park

With a confident bark

But she was meant to wee in the yard

And she found that quite hard

She had to go out of the door

Not just wee on the floor

But as often as not

She just plain forgot

Oh my. Goodness me.

Winkle’s done another wee

She’d sit still in a chair

While a girl brushed her hair

Faced with a crab with sharp claws

She’d just raise her paws

She could jump off her feet

At the smell of a treat

She was a brave little pet

At a trip to the vet
