"The Great Trip"

But William did not like field trips. He thought
they were loud and crazy and a little bit scary.

The day of the big field trip had finally arrived,

William's friends and classmates were so excited that they
sang the whole way to the aquarium. Even the bus driver
sang along! But William still thought it would be no fun.

When they arrived at the aquarium, everyone ran to the
nearest tank to watch the fish swim around.
"Hey look! This fish is bigger than the one back there,
but they look exactly the same!" William exclaimed.(He liked the fish.)

"Actually," explained Ms. Park, "the fish
are the same size. It just looks like the
others are smaller because they are
farther away."

As the class traveled through the aquarium,
William wondered how all of the fish could
take their naps if people were staring at
them all of the time.
